Publication Ethics

The quality of manuscripts will be maintained to avoid publishing violations, and the editorial board of KERN establishes the ethics of journal scientific publications. The ethics of this publication is based on the regulation of the Kepala Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan No. 5 Tahun 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications which contains provisions for the Ethics of Scientific publications.

 

 Reviewer Code of Ethics

 Reviewer conducts studies in an honest, objective, unbiased, independent manner, holds basic principles and scientific analysis and only side with the truth.

  1. Mitra Bestari assists editors in determining papers that are worthy of publication and assists authors in improving the quality of written works.
  2. Bestari partners conducting a review of the content of a written paper are required to be critical according to their expertise, open to new things and uphold the principle of confidentiality.
  3. Mitra Bestari has a passion for improving written works.
  4. Carry out the task of reviewing written paper from the KERN editor and submitting the results of the study as consideration for determining the feasibility of publishing a paper, by:

  • Style of Writing Article / Style Book of Article
  1. Reviewing the written work that has been corrected according to predetermined standards.
  2. Encourage writers to make improvements by providing criticism, suggestions, input and recommendations
  3. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of the study
  4. Mitra Bestari are not allowed to review written works that involve themselves either directly or indirectly
  5. Guarantee the principle of truth, novelty and authenticity
  6. Prioritizing the benefits of writing for the development of science, technology and innovation
  7. Understanding the impact of writing on the development of science
  8. Free from interventions based on religion, politics, nationality, gender, commercial and other relationships that result in non-objective recommendations
  9. Guarantee the confidentiality of the findings contained in the paper
  10. Do not personally criticize the author
  11. Not communicating with the author/sponsor of the research
  12. Do not use written works for personal or third-party interests
  13. Do not disseminate the written work that is being studied

 

 Code Writer / Author

 Authors must present the results of their thoughts or research, honestly, and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism. 

  1. The author must provide information about the process and results of his research to the editor honestly, clearly, and thoroughly, and keep his research data safe and well.
  2. The author must ensure that the manuscript that has been sent/submitted to the editor is the original manuscript, written by himself, originating from his ideas and ideas, and not plagiarizing the written work or ideas of others. 
  3. The author must inform that the manuscript sent/submitted to the editor is a manuscript that has never been submitted/submitted to another journal/publication publisher.
  4. The author must immediately inform the editor if errors are found in the writing of the manuscript, both the results of the review and the edits. The writing errors include writing names, affiliations/agencies, quotes, and other writings that can reduce the meaning and substance of the manuscript. If that happens, the author must immediately propose improvements to the manuscript.
  5. The author must understand the ethics of scientific publications above to avoid conflicts of interest with other parties so that the manuscript can be processed smoothly and safely.
  6. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
  7. Authors must indicate references to the opinions and works of others who are quoted
  8. The author must write the manuscript ethically, honestly and responsibly, by applicable scientific writing regulations.
  9. The author does not mind if the manuscript is edited in the review process and layout without changing the substance or main idea of ​​the article.
